Manfred Meier emigrated from Germany to Australia in 1967, where he received his engineering degree from the University of Ballarat in 1974. An accomplished sports enthusiast, in such diverse diciplines as soccer, swimming, gymnastics, athletics, archery and horse riding, he also draws on a lifelong experience of intensive fitness and strength training.
